Jerusalem Youth Chorus

Israeli-Palestinian musical peacemakers

Why you should listen

The Jerusalem Youth Chorus (JYC) is an Israeli-Palestinian music and dialogue project that empowers young people from East and West Jerusalem to raise their voices for peace, justice, inclusion and equality. Their music and message have been featured on platforms from The New York Times to America's Got Talent and have inspired millions around the world with a call to build bridges across the many divides of our time.

JYC is unique in its combination of music and dialogue programming. The chorus goes beyond simply singing together, also delving deeper into members' identities, life experiences, communal narratives, religious traditions and national histories through dialogue — all within the safe space of the musical ensemble and the strong personal bonds and community it creates.
