Her talk offers a fresh perspective on how fashion, at the intersection of art and philanthropy, can forge connections that transcend borders, cultures, and circumstances.

Born and educated in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, completed his A levels through the Cambridge curriculum in 2012. Went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine degree at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC), graduating in 2017. After working for a few years and taking additional courses, he is currently in his final year of specialization, pursuing a Master's in Psychiatry at the University of Nairobi in Kenya while working at the onsight consulting doctor for CARE 360 in Parklands, Nairobi

Naitiemu NYANJOM

Performace Artist

Naitiemu is a Kenyan material, production and performance artist. Her practice focuses on finding her identity as an individual connected with community and nature; guided by the African Philosophy of Ubuntu. She explores diverse materials and processes, telling emotional stories on female energy, culture and mental health awareness. She has been privileged to document stories from the indigenous Maasai community of Twala Tenebo Women village exploring their history and culture through photography and video interviews, 3d scans & VR, and a reimagined future through performance art, with a team of 13 other female creatives, where Naitiemu was the lead artist. This project aims to create a lens connecting our past, present and future.

Nimo MUTHIKE

A recent rediscovery ignited Nimo's passion for indigenous foods, prompting reflections on their decline and the potential for revival. Her mission extends beyond acknowledgment, aiming to translate awareness into actionable steps towards food diversity and informed consumption choices. At the core of Nimo's journey lies a profound appreciation for the interplay between tradition and novelty. Just as Nathi (gooseberry), an indigenous fruit, resurfaces in modern supermarkets, Nimo seeks to reclaim forgotten wisdom and integrate it into our evolving food systems. Join Nimo Muthike as she guides us visualise bridges between past wisdom and future innovation, paving the way for a better food future.

A media executive, speaker, former athlete, and closet fashion designer, Sandrine Nzeukou believes in Africa's revolutionary potential. In her current role as founder and CEO of Playbook, Sandrine is launching the first media platform entirely dedicated to the business of emerging sports economies (focusing initially on Africa and the Middle East). Prior to this, Sandrine led Invest Africa US(IAUS) as the executive director, where she drove the strategic vision of the organization of private equity firms, venture capital firms, family offices, ultra-high net worth individuals, and service providers through the network’s intentional convening power. Sandrine has worked with NBA Africa, Forbes, the Milken Institute, and Yaatra Ventures, with the common intention of creating capital flow and ownership opportunities that will drive meaningful and sustainable development of economies across the African continent.
